i doubt u can go that low with the slim, but its just a guess

Wont work, they didn't put the chip to emulate the ps2 software on the slim. Thats why the first generation models were backwards compatible they had that chip. But Sony saw it would cost less to make them without the ps2 chip so they stopped making backwards compatible ps3s.
