you will need either a downgrade dongle or a ipod touch or iphone to put it into service mode

there will NOT be any way to sign FTP Server

No need to jailbreak, just need to use a usb drive, to install the CFW. But we will have to wait for a official CFW to be released.

from what i know, u need to put ur ps3 in service mode, and u can only do this by downgrade/jailbreak usb, so yh u gonna need that, as i tried to do the geohot hello.text and i could do it as ps3 was not in service mode, but i thought the whole idea of signing was to sign and not use jailbreak/downgrade as u can sign a app and make it work without service mode???

Horibble news they tried installin backup manager on a non hacked ps3 with the custom firmware and it didnt work the system still knows right from wrong :cry::cry:

The cfw relesed for the 3.55 update can b done with usb drive but to downgrade 3.50 you need a e3 card

Fail0verflow have the program sign pkgs but they are trying to make it noob friendly so expect it to be released soon
