yah im trying to figure out how to use it.

You need to unpack the CFW "PS3UPDAT.PUP" file and add in this "lv2diag.self" someplace, then repack the .PUP..

Im going to try to do it, if I succeed in getting it to work then ill post a download................in Premium

The "lv2diag.self" is one of the official Sony Service files, used by PSDowngrade in order to downgrade your PS3.. Pretty much if you mod that file and enable the .PKG feature and then patch it on the Flash then the Flash Chip will ignore the signature and install the .PKGs.

Just like this morning at 5am,he ran Homebrew off the 3.55 XMB using the CFW.

So basically he just made a new FW we could download than lets us run unsigned PKGs?

Thats pretty much what im saying yes.. Meaning we would be able to use Backup Manager v1.1 and the FTP server from the Jailbreak method and other unsigned code.
