So i put the official 3.55 in the update folder and the update folder in the PS3 folder and so on. I then selected system update via, storage media, it said there was no applicable update available ? What does that mean ?

So i need some help !

Can i install it by putting it into recovery mode etc ?
Can i install the official by just downloading it from the internet option of system update ?

I think you can go back, you need to put it in recovery mode.Download origanal 3.55 from plastion site then install ofw patch from the recovery mode.

Worked for me, just like I installed the CFW.

You did delete the CFW from the update folder before putting the official, right?

Make Sure That You Put The File Like This:

PS3>UPDATE>PS3UPDAT.PUP (all the folder in Caps Lock)

just noticed mine had ..PUP .so i deleted a ( . ).NOW it worked.**** my self though lol.
