Post: looks like new peek and poke CFW on way

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Found this elsewhere, which seems to suggest that flukes and co are working on new pup for peek and poke as existing one may be flawed.
Not that I know anything about how this all works but from reading it seems wrong syscalls ( 6 and 7 ) may have been used in current CFW. This is from 20 mins ago.

<flukes1> mastag22 has the new PUP
<sorrowuk2> cool
<sorrowuk2> good luck
<mastag22> cant test for a bit
<mastag22> come back in an hour
<Tank66> flukes this is another patch to OFW 3.55 correct?
<flukes1> yep

They have finished it and are testing it now. It has already been leaked from irc but they are advising people not to install it untill it is tested.

Dont know why people keep jumping on everything and installing it anyway, the devs are all doing their thing and when it all works everyone will know and no one will risk bricking their PS3's

There's also another issue, mapping peek &poke to syscalls 6 &7 as mathieulh also stated is a bit dangerous, they will have to use some other (unused) syscalls for peek & poke...
That's the status few minutes ago....

So, for now, if you are on 3.41, don't jump in the 3.55-jb train.....
Wait till they sort all the problems first...!

Already running it. Can confirm it works.

I wouldn't take my word for it if I was you though.

Works for what?
I would think its Geohots CFW that is working for running whatever HB you are using as that has to be installed over this.
Are they not trying to get this to work so that backups can be run?
Which they arent yet, and they seem to be getting shut downs when exiting which is hardly working?
So the fact that it installs hardly makes it a fully working CFW or does it?

Well seeing as how there aren't any signed Backup Managers yet it's pretty obvious I'm not talking about the backup playability isn't it?

Was just letting people know that it successfully installs, isnt fake and didn't brick my console in the post I made before you made any edits to the OP regarding said backup issues.

This is my point , you seem to be saying look everyone its ok it works. When in reality you have installed an untested CFW that at the moment doesnt achieve anything and may even yet still brick your console, when even the Devs working on it are saying don't install this yet.
