Geohot released his CFW for homebrew to run on 3.55. Along with it came a few tools. Some homebrew was made available such as FTP servers, multiMAN and emulators. Geohots CFW can be found below.

A problem many are having is backup managers don't play their games. It is not a bug or glitch Geohot intended it to be this way. He does not want any legal action against him because he added a backup manager to his CFW.

Thats Geohot.

Now a fix was recently released by Riku.kh3 to get backups to work on Geohot's CFW without the need of a backup manager. This method changes the path of the backup so it appears as a PSN game on the XMB.

A well explained tut is below thanks to a user on PSGroove named ProfChaos.
Ok Ive managed to complete all the steps however Ive only got it working on homebrew this is a step by step guide for those having trouble, you will need Linux and Windows cause thats how i did it.

1.Git clone both geohotz tools and failoverflow tools from their git repos.

2.Grab an eboot and place it in the fail0verflow tools dir.(I recommend using a homebrew one first so that you know the process is sound.)

3.Next compile the fail0verflow tools by typing make in the terminal.(Make sure it is targeted at the directory first eg, "cd dev/ps3/fail0verflow")

4.Then type ./unself EBOOT.BIN EBOOT.elf

5.Once that is complete copy the eboot.elf and place it in the same folder as the make_self_npdrm.

6.Then compile the make_self_npdrm by typing "gcc make_self.c -lgmp -lcrypto -lz -o make_self_npdrm" into the terminal.(I could not seem to get the make file to work)

7.Next run make_self_npdrm by typing "./make_self_npdrm EBOOT.elf EBOOT.BIN UP2005-XXXXXXXXX_00-HOMEBREW00000001" (Make xxxxxxxx the id of the homebrew/game eg BLES00948 while HOMEBREW00000001 can be anything you want.)

8.Then you will have a signed eboot that will work on 3.41 all you have to do now is make a package with PSN_PACKAGE_NPDRM. There is already a pdf documenting how to use it so i won't go into how to use it.

P.S For 3.55 you have to patch the pkg in order to build the finalize tool just type "gcc package_finalize.c -lcrypto -o package_finalize"

Now half of us dont know crap on decrypting this or that so Riku.kh3 method is out of the picture for us.

Luckily for us some people are just so pro and manage to make a CFW capable of running backup managers but wait there is a catch. The CFW is backup manager READY but there is not a backup manager for the CFW by flukes1. So now we wait. Wait for a backup manger that can run our games without us n00bs having to edit crap that is far beyond our understanding.
