NOTE: SO FAR, YOU NEED THE GAME (disk or backup) THAT YOU WANT REMOVE FROM YOUR TROPHY LIST (so you might have to rent it again etc.. but i bet later on there will be a better way to do this anyway)
i found a way to get rid of trophies!
i was playing king of fighters it made it's trophy entries and i wanted to see if i could get rid of them. i quit the game, and via ftp (or comgenie's manager, but i didn't know my game ids) i went to
/dev_hdd0/game/LAUN12345/GAMEZ/BLJS10045/PS3_GAME/TROPDIR/NPWR00373_00/
where the id code was my game id. here i saw the trophy folder code/id is different to the game id, at least in this game's case.
so now that i knew the trophy id code was NPWR00373_00, i went to where the trophies are stored, in /dev_hdd0/home/00000001/trophy/ and i simply deleted the folder with the trophy id code that i wanted to get rid of.
you can just go to the trophy folder first, and see what game each folder belongs to by opening up the icon0.png file in each folder.
so i deleted that trophy folder, but in my trophy list it still showed up, all the details, (maybe the unlocked/locked status and percent status would stay too, i had 0%, so i couldn't test it), so deleting that folder seemed to just remove the picture from the trophy list, but all the details were still there, even after a power cycle. then i wanted to see if any problems would happen if i started the game again, and let it make the trophies again, and i booted it up and it gave me a trophy error, and it sent me back to the xmb, and i checked the trophy list and it was gone!
so, this method is only good if you have the game/backup that you want to get of of your trophy data.
i'll write this in steps:
1. go to: /dev_hdd0/game/LAUN12345/GAMEZ/GAME***ID/PS3_GAME/TROPDIR/
and see what the folder inside TROPDIR is called.
2. go to /dev_hdd0/home/USER***ID/trophy/ and delete the folder that you saw in TROPDIR in step 1.
3. boot up the game, you should get sent back to the xmb. For both games that I tested I got error 80022D1E. 'Registration of the tropgy information could not be completed. The game will quit. (80022D1E)
I think booting up the game updates the master trophy file (?) in /dev_hdd0/home/USER***ID/trophy/_TROPSYS_/ since after i deleted the trophy folder, the information is still there. if we can find a way to understand/edit the PARAM.PFD and TROPHSYS.DAT files, i bet we can remove the games from the list without having to boot up the game.
i also tried deleting three games's trophy folders, so they were still in my list, but with no icon, and i thought that if i load up one of those games, that the master trophy file (maybe i'm wrong, i think i was) would get updated, and all of those games would dissappear, but they didn't, only the same game that i booted up got removed.
also, tales of vesperia didn't give me an error, but it still removed the trophies, so it still worked.
i hope this helps someone!!
(just a copy and paste, but i wanted to share this with you people. i think it could be very usefull! i'm gonna try it right now!)
