this will do nothing. if you have not connected to the internet since you installed CFW and go back to OFW before connecting to the internet, this would work to protect you. since your boot history is (i assume) sent to sony at regular intervals while connected to the internet, if you have gotten online with CFW, this would just make it look suspicious. going to CFW, getting online with it, and then later getting back on on normal FW?? sounds like gameshare or your trying to hide your use of CFW. if i was sony, i would be banning every person who did that

Probably not CFW, because Gehots CFW is Detecable by sony which was stated in Geohot vs SCEA cout session today.

kinda proves my point. sign in on CFW, then sign in on OFW. looks suspicious, no?

This will not protect you for use a custom firmware. this will protect you to using back ups. (or hombrew) Custom Firmware isnt illegal yet, run back ups is illegal. every time u sign in at the psn it will upload the boot_history to sony, and sony can see if u runned original games or backups. the best way to not get banned is installing custom firmware, install the .pkg's u need and go back to the original Firmware. the installed .pkg's are keep on your ps3.
