Post: viewing my backed up ps3 files

When you backup your Playstation data you backup to a Usb or External HDD correct ?, So im guessing plug it into laptop and open it ?

Yes but, im trying to open it like the ftp files. Can anybody point me into the right direction please?

But your backup data is just all your Playstation data, So instead of trying to look for the backup data, Why not just connect FTP to Playstation and look through the files to find whatever it is you are looking for ?

Thats exactly what im trying not to do. Im trying to find a way to access the files without any homebrew apps installed

Well you have the backup on a Usb or External HDD, so plug it into your laptop and view everything in it :confused:

all it comes up with are DAT files, ill have to have a better look into this
