So far there has been no proof in anyone being banned.

I would however go for it mate.
But it's up to you.

However there are some rumors about PS3's being bricked etc.

I have had my ps3 on geohots jb for quite a while now and i think as long as you arent stupid, you will not get banned. (ie hosting public mw2 lobbies will lead to faster bans) :bro:
