Waninkoko's CFW: Risky as some models of the PlayStation 3 Brick with this Firmware. This CFW though has Enabled Backup Support.
Bricks if installed on 256MB Nand. Older FAT Ps3 models. So these:

PS3 CFW Evilnat: Still in beta. Not exactly sure. There is a Beta release for it. Said to be final release soon. Said to play Backups in final Release.

Wutangrza CFW: New firmware. I suggest waiting until there are more reports. Said to Enable Backup Support. Not with it, but your able to use Geohots actual JAILBREAK (NOT CFW) to enable the Backup manager.

I suggest, Before installing any of these firmware, That you look them up on Google.ca or NGU. Risk of Bricking is always possible. Look what happened with Waninkoko's CFW. Many people are having serious issues because they didn't have the patients to wait and read. I suggest before and CFW is installed to look it up, And if it's just been released, Wait a couple days or a week to be sure.

If installing Diffrent CFW's from time to time. I suggest Installing OFW before you install another Hackers Firmware. Just less risk of Bricking, Along with totally deleting other Hackers Firmware files. As the Actual Custom Firmware isn't the Actual whole firmware. It's just adding files onto what is already installed.

So if your Running KaKaRoToKS CFW I suggest Install Official Firmware 3.55. Then Installing The other Custom Firmware you Want. Your choice, but why take the risk.

There are going to be many many CFW in the Nearby Future. I will try to keep this updated. But i have a feeling there are going to be ALOT. Give it a month and there will be too many to count/try. If your unsure, Just wait for the right one!!!
