(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok guys, First off to end some rumors and avoid further topics. Sony cannot legally Brick your PS3. It is absolutely 100% ILLEGAL to do that. They can't really bann you for having custom firmware...... It is legal to have custom firmware..... Its just not legal to do some stuff that the custom firmware allows you to do (such as pirate games). There is also a big pressure from game developers cause the custom firmwares mass increase of enabling cheating/modding of their online games. (Modern Warfare 2) to be more exact. But I am about 100% positive that you will not get banned for the fact that it is legal to have custom firmware.... They just don't condone it. Thus why they have not mass banned us yet. They only bann us if we use the CFW to do something they refer to as hacking or exploitation of there console. And for that you will get banned but for simply having CFW you will not. The newest firmware will most likely be similiar to that of the removal of OtherOS. It will require you to remove all Jailbroken firmware and Jailbroken applications from your console. This however is not a problem.... For the fact that all our packages are signed for 3.55 at the moment anyways. Heres where alot of worry comes in on your guys part, dont worry theres no reason to frett. We have the PS3's root key. The key that enables us to make the custom firmware that you guys know and love. This key is virtually impossible to be changed..... The PS3 console is compromised till the PS4 which is why Sony is in such a bind down at HQ. With these keys we will be able to modd every updated firmware released by SONY just as we have with the 3.55. With these keys so graciously provided by the workings of GeoHot and Fail0verFlow we have took control of the PS3 away from Sony's trembling hands and put it directly back into the hands of us. These keys and tools open up the doors to much bigger and better things. POWER TO THE PLAYERS :hitman:

Do a barrel roll!
Can people please stop making pointless threads about this. 99% of us already know what is going on and the 1% who dont know can go to the questions section and read the hundreds of responses there.

Thank you.

tl;dr:
What people don't get is that running backups isn't violating PSN terms of use and they can't ban you for that. They can't brick your console either because it is illegal as well.

This is to clear up the concerns of the NGU community. The mass of threads shows that there is confusion in a mass group of people. I made this thread in order to hopefully clear up this on-going confusion. Hopefully I helped ease your concerns

Sooo...You just answered my question I asked over at the other topic. xD I hope you are right though about all that. I personally have been trying to get some signed apps for 3.41. um also Do you think it would be safer for me to get on 3.55 cfw? Or can I stay on 3.41?

Yes occasionaly foolness, but in that Liger video it wasnt me. However the glitcher video entitled MGO Glitchers Hardcore was me and it was the week before uploaded by Liger.

meh, the only reason it would not be legal for sony to brick your console is that you could legally sue them for damaging your property. you would have to prove it was their fault, though
