If so which CFW would be the best to download as I recently returned to OFW after being told by friends that Update 3.60 was coming out and you will get an immediate ban if you have Geohot's CFW :dunce::dunce:

uh not too sure about the first question, as you would need various files that would be hard to find online but maybe if your friend sent you the USRDIR files of your area code it might be possable.
I've been reading about this on NGU and people seem to think that you will get banned, but others say that wouldnt be a breach of conduct by sony for bricking consoles that we bought, and us breaking the terms and conditions isnt as bad as them breaking the law.. if they do ban me (us) i imagine a lot of the community will turn to xbox, i know i will.

Ahh I was thinking the same if I had been able to get the files of the game, back them up and go from there, but if its not its a bummer and yea I'v been reading about that to but most people seem to be saying the same thing, that sony have said if we hack or mod a game its the developers fault and sony arent taking responsibility, and yea would defo buy an xbox if my PS3 gets banned lol, and no probs man any feedback is welcome :y:

GeoHot's is the best. It has no chance of bricking, so it's the safest. Most other CFWs are only compatible with certian systems. As for the back-up manager, you have to have the game to back it up.

Thanks man :y: I had Geohot's but after all the fear mongering going on I went back to OFW just to be on the safe side, and damn I cant be pirate :pirate: and take some of my friends files and use them for my own demise and I felt an evil laugh coming too /facepalm

Haha. Well, if 3.60 comes out just use FTP and delete your boot_history.dat. That way they won't know where you've been on your PS3. Then go back to OFW =D.

Does it matter if iv done it before I went back to OFW, I used a couple methods off NGU the PARAM.SFO, boot_history.dat and explore_view.txt

As long as you don't run any of the homebrew while on OFW.
