(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok sorry i realize this is probably a very noob question/s

I'm using ps3 120 slim, Kmeaw CFW, Blackbox 1.2 FTP server, filezilla/smartftp.

For two days now i have been trying to copy over a backup of red dead redemption from my computer to my ps3. PLEASE NOTE I DO OWN THE GAME JUST LOST THE DISK. There is one file that is 6.4 GB so i cant put it onto an external hard drive. EVERY time i try to download the sertain file onto my ps3 about half way through i get this error along these lines (not word for word)
(filezilla)
*Fatal error has occured*
*server has been disconnected*

Please note that i in no way mess with the computer or ps3. last time i got this error i left the room for 2 hours to watch a movie, i left everything perfect and it was running when i left. im sure you can understand my frustration. Does anyone have any knowlage on how i could fix this or make is less frequent.

also what is the best ftp servers to use, for both the ps3 and the computer.

Thanks for all your help in advance.

Do a barrel roll!
I use Blackbox and Filezilla and it works fine, although it doesn't like transferring folders with a lot inside, it works if I copy the files by them selves though.

Invest in a Ethernet Crossover cable. It transfers much faster than wireless connection. The last time I checked, the max speed is 1 gb/second with a direct connection

Here's the crossover cable I use, you can pick your length and color :P

That looks really useful, how would you go about using that with your ps3?

1. Plug into ps3 ethernet port
2. Plug into pc ethernet port
3. Start Blackbox and FileZilla as usual

If your computer is set to turn on a screen saver or go to sleep that will cut out the connection. Just go into your pc power settings and make sure you have no sleep time and no screen saver time, just keep it running

Connect your PS3 directly to your PC via ethernet.

Create a connection on your PS3 with:

IP address: 10.1.1.1
Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.0
default gateway: 10.1.1.1
DNS: 10.1.1.1

Then on your PC. Go to local area connection and then go to ipv4 under properties and type

IP address: 10.1.1.2
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 10.1.1.1
DNS: 10.1.1.1
