Post: How big should the .pup be for geohot'z 3.55?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); hi all im giving in and installing cfw on my 80gb phatty, i downloaded the zip from the geohot'z site but the pup file is only about 5mb is that the right size being as all the others are like 100mb plus?

the .PUP update file from geohot is 5.09MB

Yes, you do just install it as a normal update. Only if you are on OFW though.

ok done that and it randomly beeped about 5 times and switched off, im scared to turn it back on now lol, is that normal, sorry for being a total n00b

it will beep 9- 12 times.
mine did 9 but if installed rite you should see a green teardrop and a install pkg folder.

it's on and working theres no teardrop just a star and the folder is there, thanks all who posted, my ps3 is part of the family it would sit up the table for dinner with us if it could chew and swallow so i didnt want to risk killing it by just installing any random file

whenever i download somthing i scan it for viruses bcuz some ppl r assho*es and put trojans and other bullshit in files jus to brick your ps3.
jus lettin you kno if you don't.
