Are you trying to use it for Backup manager ?

Yeah ive tried multiple backup managers and nothing plus usually it says usb mass storage on the ps3 when u go over video, music, etc it doesnt even show up there..

k when u click coppy game on backup mnager it will ask you to save to the HDD click No then it will ask you to save to External HDD click yes then it will coppy the game o the external HDD

nope doesnt say that when i click no it just goes back
