So i off the ps3 and went took a look at my usb on my computer nothing was wrong went back to the ps3 went into safe mode and it still said (something) not applicable so i turned of the ps3 again and i just gave up and wanted to play a game, but right as i press the power button it goes green nd it quickly turns yellow for a spilt of a split second and turns into a Red blinking light. Can anybody help me I would greatly appreciate it and give you +rep. Thank you very much for looking at this post.

Bricked. Dang.... probably bad download of the ofw. IF you cant get back into restore mode, its dead. sorry...

Mine happend to a while ago and got the YLoD. Did you try going into safe mode again but instead of trying to update or something i think there is an option for a recovery or some sort??? I will check in a little bit.

what i did was hold the power button till it turned of den held it till it beeped den beeped twice then I let it go then went to update option clicked on it then it didnt find my updat.pup file so i turn it off then turn it back on and that happened and thanks for atleast looking into and helping me i really appreciate that

No problem, and btw if you can still turn it on and just not update it now you can always bypass it with that MAGIC IP(xD) and see what you can do from there. or is it completly cooked?

I dont think its bricked because it never like found that updat.pup so it never downloaded it and the screen never said do not turn off the ps3 so i dont think its bricked, but hey it might be and also i cant enter the recovery mode and people with bricked ps3's can I have read all over NGU about bricked ps3's and they can, but I cant get access to the safe mode because it turns green then automatically red flashing light.
If you can help me that would be great

Well i press the power button turns green for like a second or two then immediately turns into a red blinking light so all i see on my screen is no hdmi input detected.

Sounds internal bro, honestly i have no clue on that one. overheatting? is this the only time its done this?

i found this on the website while looking around. it has to deal with two or three diff. types or bricking and i beleive it is legit info because i noticed the website before as the site hackers(long story)!

yea this is the first time ever doing it I take very good of my ps3 and yea i think it is internal if all fails ill just try and make sony fix it for me lol
