Sorry if this is the wrong section and/or if this has been posted.
I've been reading a lot about the 3.56 update and my friends and cousins have told me that there was a new update this morning so I went onto my PS3 and I signed right it, without even being prompted to update. I even went to Settings>System Update>Update via Internet to see if it would find the update, but nothing came up. I checked to see if I was still on the 3.55 CFW and sure enough, I was. I tested out a few different homebrews that I had installed (mulitMAN, Gaia Manager, blackbox, GenesisPlus) and they all worked. I also checked to see if it would let me play games online, so I tried Black Ops online and it worked. I turned off my system for a few hours to do homework and when I went back on it still let me sign in and there was still no 3.56 update.
My question is, is this normal or does Sony want me to keep my homebrew? =P
