(from mw2 hacking i think)

i tried updating via storage device with what i thought was the ofw 3.55 but when it restarted if still had comgenie's awesome file manager and the install package files. o and when update vie storage media it says 3.55-jb.

so do i just need the real ofw 3.55 download link? i have all my saves backed up so could i just format the HDD? (have nothing but game saves, no movies, music, ect.)

Theres a short way and a long way. The short way is to download the official 3.55 update and install it or full format the entire ps3 (make sure everythings backed up) then update and it should work no problem. but if u just wanna get online stay on 3.55 CFW and use DNS bypass.

i do the dns bypass and it works but i cant find any online matches on mw2 and i dont know wat will happen if i go on black ops

just update,,,, i updated while having my cfw with my homebrew apps and im safe just that the hombrew apps dont work ,,, i can still host cl on mw2 buti cant change the hacked patch ,,,,,, sony can ban ppl for having cfw until they win the case against geohot!

dont update its not worth it
