Right 1st of we all know its an ip and mac ban (mainly)

So for this 2 work you need a new mac address and a ip address!!

What you got to do........

You need to turn on your ps3 and try signing in to Playstation network.
Now just Leave it

Go to your router or modem, and Disconect it from your adsl filter spliter (the block that has a telephone conect in to it aswell as your router/modem)

DONT diconect your telephone!!!

Leave it for 2mins

Now turn off your router by the mains.

LEAVE it for aprox 10 mins

Now make a call on your phone to any1 even 1471

Disconect your phone

Conect your phone back up

Now Turn on your router/modem

Wait til the lights go red or whatever on the router/Modem (saying that theres NO conection)

Now plug the Router/Modem cableback in to the adsl Filter Block

Wait 2 Mins So the router is conected


NOW THE ROUTER HAS RESET ITSELF AND YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN A NEW I.P AND MAC ADDRESS!!

Now Sign into playstion network


THERE YOU GO
YOUR BACK ONLINE!!!!!!!!!

I just tried it and it didn't work. I followed the steps 100% correctly. I'm just right back where I started.

your MAC address is located in the NIC. it is hardware encoded and cannot be changed.

this may work for your IP if you have a dynamic IP.
if your IP is static, you would have to call your ISP and hopefully they aren't gay and will let you change it.

Hmm but what if we don't have a main home telephone? (My whole family uses cell phones.)

i would love to know how reseting your router gives you a new MAC address which is hardware specific. +Rep to anyone who can answer it!!!

That will reset your I.P Address depending on if your ISP uses Static or dynamic I.P labeling.

This wont change your mac address and if you would like to arrgue that simply take a picture of your modems MAC address on its web page (for instance 10.0.0.1 (Netgear router)), do your steps and show me a picture of the mac address changed. What you are doing is power cycling the modem which will force a reset, usually an I.P is sent from the ISP when you do this.

For the people this isn't working for, your ISP is probably giving you a Static IP address
