But i still have a question that i couldn't find an answer to, if you decided to bypass the 3.56 update and stay on 3.55, i've heard Sony can detect when you're using the homebrew apps. This may not be true but if it is, would it make sense to edit the PARAM file for the apps to apply a different name to it? ... For example, 'Blackb0x v1.2' would be changed to 'Call of Duty: Black Ops' ... So that sony would not detect this is a homebrew app and you would not receive a certain ban?

Please bear in mind I am an amateur and it was just a thought. I also can't confirm Sony can detect the homebrew apps usage, i just read that somewhere.

Hope i get banned? Of course i don't comprehend it because i have don't have the time of day to learn all the coding etc. I just understand the basic navigation of the hard drive folders (i.e. Where/what i do to make modded lobbies and what i do to NZB files to get games) ... What i don't understand is how the files do what they do, i've started to get a rough understanding of the PARAM files and other folders in the PS hard drive, but i don't know alot about how to program files to be able to make the modded lobbies and program them to do these things. I'm pretty sure more than half the people who jailbroke their PS3's have the same understanding as me.

Well dude if you want to be safe restore your ps3 to factory form then update if you haven't cause yes there is now reporting people .... prestige sensors ...soooo yeah i would not host any lobby if i were you wait till someone has broken 3.56 and is out for 2 -3 weeks just to make sure that there is no banns .... thats whats best right now + sony sucks and will fail
