Well, it might work but there is a 50/50 chance of bricking your ps3, however it could be your lucky day

the new ofw with let you in but will not let you out of factory mode ..try ..let me know if it works

Theres not a 50-50 chance, it depends what ps3 you have, its mostly slims that brick when downgrading, BUT you do lose your blue ray dvd playback if you downgrade and theres no easy fix if any yet.

thats only if you downgrade to 3.41 not 3.55 he will not lose much

Thats if you downgrade to anything other then 2.15 you won't lose blue ray, and thats just what i heard from a semi good source. Im pretty sure you can't just downgrade to 3.55 either. Because the recent downgrade brings you into a fake 3.56 firmware thats really 3.41.

We can't get the 3.56 private key. This is the key that encrypts everything for 3.56.

And apparently you can only run 3.56 lv2diag.selfs from service mode now and we dont have any

It's probably safe to enter Service Mode. It would be interesting to see if the Exit self works, as well as Geohot's "hello World" lv2diag.self.

That would verify they haven't changed the keys. Beyond that, the simple remedy for the downgrader would be to change the authid again on the app and resign it.

Like I said in the other thread, only somebody willing to risk it, or somebody with the tools to restore their PS3 should try this.

They didn't change the keys to the whole system, just the .self they put in the ps3 if im not mistaken.

U get Stuck at Service Mode on 3.56, and cannot leave it (yet).
