Yes. You can still download his CFW, and add MW2 patches for the modded lobbies (if that's what you're wanting) AND still have to update to 3.56. You can still do those modded lobbies on 3.56. The problem is...if you **** it up, you won't be able to use it online, so it's best to get it right the first time. As far as using his JB once you update to 3.56? No. You can't. There's a lot of posts about bypassing the update to be able to play online, but from the forums I've read, it's 50/50. I'm browsing these forums, in hopes that someone with genius skills will come out with a jailbreak for this 3.56. I'm sick of this effin' patch for MW2, and want a new one. =) But anyway...bypassing this 3.56 is YOUR choice to see if it works. But once you're on it...you're ****ed.

dnt really think u answerd my question lol. im on 3.55 now im guess and if i get geohots CFW and use it right when i get on my ps3 an jailbreak it or when i turn it on will it automatically make me update to 3.56? and it would be great if sum1 had geohots CFW download.:carling:

No. It WON'T MAKE you update, given you don't have the settings set on your PS3 where it's an AUTOMATIC UPDATE ONCE YOU TURN ON YOUR SYSTEM.

But if you want to play online, then as I said, you can try to bypass the 3.56 with the bypassing method mentioned in some posts. Anyway...Geohots JB link is here. (I don't know if it still works?) Give it a shot....

it will work if hes on 3.55 but if he updates to 3.56 it wont if your not on 3.55 yet get on here and get someone to link you to 3.55

U do not have to update! there is an ip address u can costom put into ur ps3 network setttings. look it up, it makes it so u can play on 3.55 and keep ur abilities to change patches. u can update to 3.56, but b sure u have a good patch u like on ur ps3. u will not b able to change it once uv updated.

im sure u can jailbreak it on tha bypassed update. as long as ur on 3.55, u should b able to. test it out for me plz, cuz i might get a new ps3, so i can jailbreak that one, cuz ive updated tha one i have now.
