Post: Patch changing question

Since the patch is saved onto the PS3 hard drive, is it possible to change patches using backup utility on the PS3? Like copying the backup data onto a storage media device and then replacing the patch on a computer. Then restoring the data with the new patch installed

Thanks for any answers =)

if u mean to change a game patch "modded 1" then put the patches on usb use multiman make a new folder in the patch dir and copy all the patches to that folder

like this

hdd0/bles00683/usrdir/mw2patches

then u can change the patches wen u want by goin to that directory and copy the patch from the folder and replace it with the 1 already there

i used to do it with mw2 until i updated to 3.56

No. You will need BlackBox FTP server. If you do it like that, you will lose your patch and the save data will be corrupt.

That's called downgrading. And there is no way of downgrading a Playstation 3.
