Two days ago i had gotten the YLOD. i had proceeded to fix it my self, after a few attempts i had fixed it and powered it up. i had first noticed that i had to connect the controller through the usb, so i tried resetting the controller and that didnt work. i gave up and proceeded to try and sign in, that failed and i messed with the settings a little bit. gave up again. so i thought reformatting the drive and returning it to factory settings would fix this problem. after its done, the controller problem and the connection problem are still there. ive searched and searched on here and cant find anything. please help.

um the internet problem maybe your internet because that happened to me but if you plug he controller in and does the red light flash if it dosnt it means your controller broken

I was playing online just before i got the YLOD, i have the same settings, and the controller tries to connect but dosent, it flashes like its connecting then just stop.

my best guess is its broken or died of to much use how long you had your ps3 for

ive had it scince launch. ugh guess its time for a new ps3 :/ do u know what fm new ps3's are on?

i think they start from the first update and good idea and makesure they give you a new remote i want the red 1 looks mad

yeah!! Oooo what if i took the back of my black controller off and swapped it for the red? that would look sick.

Im gonna call Sony before i go to buy a new one though, just to make sure.
