(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); ok i am gonna show you how to make ANY ps3 harddrive work in your ps3 without formatting it so you dont loose info on it. this is great for someone who got a new ps3 and wants to use their old hdd in it.

Here is another way to do it. If YOU HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THIS METHOD TELL ME ILL HELP THE BEST I CAN THIS SHOULD WORK. I HAVE TESTED ON MULTIPLE CONSOLES. put your real hdd in the system and go into the system restore menu (hold power until turns on and off, then hold again until two beeps) then have nothing else in your console usb wise and then go to system update and press start and select then change your hdd and let it go for a couple of seconds.. then shut the system off and turn it on again with the new hdd still in it and the hdd will work!!

Someone please close this thread, it keeps getting bumped (this post is not bumping, since someone just bumped it to the top), and not a SINGLE person other than the creator has got this working, meaning what? It does not work. Please just close this thread already.

I believed it worked at first, but not a single person has commented in this thread confirming it works. Nearly every comment is someone saying it doesn't work. And i could make the video you made. You don't show that the new HDD isn't already formatted to work. If you make a new video showing before you put it into service mode, that the new HDD you insert asks you to format, and then when you put it into service mode and do the trick it works, then i will believe you. You just have to realise that if no one else has commented confirming it works, only people who are saying "thanks i'll do this", or "won't work", then it's pretty hard for anyone to actually believe you. Maybe you have some special PS3, but for everyone else your trick does not work.
