(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Like the XBOX, when you can play games with copied DVDs, I was wondering if we can have a go at the PS3. I'm not good with hacking but I think if backup managers can play games from external HDD why not play from a data disc that has the game folders etc. It is very similar and PS3 obviously does read data disc. It is said that this has worked before but it is also said that it fake too.

What I'm tryna say that some NGU expert people should have a go at making (or changing) a backup manager so it can use a data disc like a USB. I doubt that would be hard... would it?

And also a disc (depending on which) can hold up to more than 4GB's unlike the gay FAT32 usb. Its great and the ony downside to it; is that is use a disc drive but who gives a **** right?

:shh: do u know the size of majority of ps3 games there huge =D 23gb 14gb 8gb and 2gb for crappy old games like dark sector or deadliest catch game......... playing off a 16gb thumb drive or a 3tb External just sounds more practicable.

cheap dvd-r's hold around 4.7gb and a lot of blu-ray blanks hold 25gb which is more than much most the top ps3 games are.

I know that using 3tb extenal is better in ways but maybe some people want it in dvd's. It shouldnt be hard. and personally i think it'd be quite fun to make your own little shelf of pira- i mean backup games :bro:

You can't do this because PS3 games are only stored on Blu-Ray discs. And the lowest size of a PS3 game I've seen is like 6gb.
