recently i was on ftp sever and i came across dev_flash/ps2emu. could this be any use to any 1 who is trying to make emulnater and also there is a dev_ps2disk and dev_ps2disk1 on the root just thought id point it out and this is on ps3 slim 120gb. good look trying to make emu :bro:

i think others have pointed this out before, you cant play ps2 games on a slim ps3 because of the missing hardware

only if your ps3 is backwards compatible like tghe phat 60 gb original or any others that supported it.

Every firmware is the same, those files and directories are for the old PS3's that support PS2 Emulation.

1st Release Japanese PS3's (20GB, 60GB) had full Hardware-based emulation, and 1st Release UK and US PS3's (60GB, 80GB) had Software-based emulation.

The Slim has no hardware what-so-ever that old PS3's had to run PS2 games either Partially or Hardware-based.

It wouldnt work, but if you want to try get the ps2 emu files and drag them over =D
