(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok, so this info is merely theories and based on my experience.

So first if the DNS method fails, it is either sony blocking it it some how or the fact that they put legal pressure on the guy running the dns server configured to spoof their servers. That is majorly possible since a IP address is very easy to track down to an extent and they can just slam the DMCA in the ISP's face...

I also know sony is using a CDN for delivering content. I looked into the servers and found a DNS round robin type-thing on the update servers.

For those of you who don't know, it is mostly common in IRC's. Say you want to connect to freenode, their server is irc.freenode.net.

Basically each time you access it, it will resolve to an IP address that is different, thus balancing the load of users per server.

It could be in china, the usa, new york or anywhere.

Here is a example ping. If you don't know what a PING is google Smile. Its good to learn :P.

    ping a0.ww.np.dl.playstation.net
PING e376.g.akamaiedge.net (184.86.33.164) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from a184-86-33-164.deploy.akamaitechnologies.com (184.86.33.164): icmp_seq=1 ttl=58 time=17.2 ms
64 bytes from a184-86-33-164.deploy.akamaitechnologies.com (184.86.33.164): icmp_seq=2 ttl=58 time=16.0 ms

So based on how DNS works, either the guy running that dns server
has sony down his back, or sony is running a dns server that is some how blocking our spoof?

I also used the ps3 proxy tool created by a guy good in vb6 on psgroove.com The funny thing is, is that it connected to the internet fine with it (my ps3), but PSN access INSTANTLY failed...

Also even odder is that when I went for a update though the proxy, it asked to update to 3.55 while I was on 3.55 kmeaw CFW! I checked the version string of my fw from the system info screen and it looked like a regular version (not like "3.55 some cfw").

Also I tried using my own proxy with the near same concept I used with anon proxy (TeCH ByPass was the orig name, but don't get me started there)...

The ironic thing was even when the internet connection test failed, when I logged in it asked to update.

This leads me to one possible thing sony is doing. The psn login servers MY be passing update information to the ps3 in current firmware versions. That is VERY bad as it is obviously SSL protected (encryption) and even if you bypass the txt file sony is hosting, you may not get passed actually logging in as the fact is WE DON"T KNOW WHAT THE HELL IS GETTING SENT TO SONY.

I honestly suggest some people go and read their TOS and re-write in non-legal english. I would do it but I don't major in law, lol...

For all the leeches and nubs reading this, and merely thinking when a bypass will come so I can start using elite mossy and derettrotter codez again to cheat in my mw2 games and impress my friends, please leave NGU.

I am not in ANY way saying I know how to trick sony's evil mind, nor am I online. My ps3 was off earlier when I turned it on to find the action sony took. I am not banned, just offline like everyone else ATM. I even rebooted as i was in a lil shock..

All I am trying to point out in this info and rambling is that we need to figure out WHAT THE HELL is going on in the inner-communication with sony/ps3. That and that sony has some tricks up their sleeves that we are not aware of, so be on your toes...

Just be quick draw McGraw :P.

Well If you have any comments or theories about whats sony is doing or is using to keep us out please post. Oh and keep it logical and realistic. Don't need anything that makes you seem like you have no idea how a computer works...

Oh btw any flaming or trolling will lead to staff up your ass and me reporting you, so keep it cool Smile.

Comments, Ideas, Theories?...What to do, what to do..

Good Day..

Thanks, doesn't look useful and by the looks of it, it is referencing to a LAN ip. Though i do know that ip range can be used public ally, though I think the government uses it.
