The Software or HDD Could Be Corrupted.

What Software Are You Trying To Install?

the fist 3.56 that came out messed up harddrive swapping it was fixed and rereleased silently as a optional download so im gonna guess you only have the 1st 3.56 and now you cant switch because thats the given error code 3.56 users were getting im not sure how to fix it considering you need a hdd to run the ps3 and the first updade you cant use a new drive i recomend sony support
because it was there fail they may be lenient

Call Sony's customer support, they should be the best candidate in helping you with this situation.

Support:
1-800-345-7669
