(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok guys, just want to let you guy in on some findings.

I was helping a customer in Australia, and we couldn't get it working. We re using ubuntu virtualbox with dnsmasq, modified hosts file, and Charles. I set everything up as I personally have it.

From comparing my set-up to his, I found that the PS3 was failing on psn. When he logged in, it asked for an update.

The funny thing is, it never contacted the PSN auth server, only fetched the update-list.

There may be something related to the update list per region..

I am also thinking that the CER in the nand might be a different one to replace as when I saw a request to the auth server that WAS picked up, the form values were encrypted, but not the names or headers...

I can say for sure that this works in the USA. If you have it working, and your in a alternate country, please tell me so i can figure this out for everyone.

If what I suspect is true, this might be why everyone is having soo
many problems. Sony might have a trick we don't know about.

So what do you think? Can you bypass, and in what country?

(Note: Here is the update list I am using)

EU works (outside UK).

if it requires an update it isn't redirected correctly.

if it comes up with an error, the redirection is basically there, but settings are wrong in charles or updatelist.

As i have said, people seems to not be doing it wrong. Sony might be functioning PSN differently per region.

So post your results!
