but I been using geohots cfw 3.55 for quite some time, I am just wondering if this works to get online and hoping I can finally sync my trophies finally

yes just follow the tutorial how it ask and you will be online on your 3.55 CFW with no problem and you will be able to Sync your trophies fine.
