Post: "Address already in use" & FūckPS3 Crashing Fix
02-15-2011, 12:44 PM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Finally, after ****ing with this for hours on one of my systems, I managed to figure this out.

The original solution is to go into command prompt & use a netstat command to list all ports being used. You could then "determine which process is using that port". My issue is that the process number listed was not showing up in task manager... meaning it was most likely a service running in the background.

Port 80 is used mainly by web servers, FTP, etc.

Windows 7 (and Vista I believe) have built in "IIS" services to accomodate you if you wish to turn your system into a server, somewhat.

The fix is to disable the IIS service.

To do so:

  1. Start -> Control Panel -> Programs
  2. "Turn Windows features on or off"
  3. UN-check the box completely for "Internet Information Services"

Click "OK" and let Windows disable the service for you.

This SHOULD then let you run Charles/FūckPS3 if you previously had issues with them crashing/giving you those errors.

Hope that helps.

Is there a way to get Skype to work while I'm online cause I want to play Demon's Souls but when skype is on I can't sign on PSN. I heard it has to do with what port Skype uses is there a way I can change this? I want to be able to run both at the same time. thanks in advance.

I tried yesterday with Charles, and it didn't work. I just re-wrote my video tutorial today for FūckPSN v0.4 and I have yet to try it with online games yet... although I've heard that v0.4 does seem to work with most games online.

Give it a try and let me know.

---I just ****ing connected to the Killzone 3 (full game) servers with the new v0.4, so I'd assume v0.4 solves that issue.

I had zero faith that'd even work...
