Doesn't matter.
Unless your wired network is on a different subnet as your wireless.
Check your router for that.

this is my setup

pc has wireless connection to router
ps3 is connected through wireless

PS3 SETTINGS

primary dns - 192.168.0.103
scondary dns-8.8.8.8

proxy-192.168.0.103
port 8.8.8.8

using these numbers i can conect to psn without a problem

as for using proxy server in ps3 settings this point it to the the computer were charles is running and to the port were it is running

Doesnt matter as long its connected to the same network.
Both would have a 192.168.xxx.xxx address.

Depends on the netmask!
if netmask is 255.255.255.0 than it the first 3 numbers must be the same.

heres the thing, my pc is connected directly from router to pc, ps3 is wireless, idk what to put for the IP settings, I know what to put for the primary dns/secondary dns, for the rest i don't know, subnet mask is obv 255.255.255.0,

go to command prompt on pc and type "ipconfig"

u want to use ipv4 address as your dns settings

like where it says primary and secondary dns settings?

yea wot ipv4 address is use that as primary dns

for scondary i use 8.8.8.8

i also use proxy server

with 192.168.0.103 which is my ipv4 address
and the port is 8888 bcoz that is the port that charles is running on
