Do a barrel roll!
What I plan on doing is this:
1. Delete all incriminating evidence and back it up to my HDD
2. Install OFW 3.55 and attempt a connection to PSN/ leave it online for a few days so Sony are aware I'm running an OFW machine. Possibly keep it at 3.55 for a few days.
3. Disable interent connection and re-install all my shit.
4.Wait until it all blows over and people release bypasses, homebrew to disguise yourself etc.

This wont work mate.
You cant install 3.55 OFW and connect to PSN legitimately, you need 3.56.
If you update to 3.56 and stay on for a few days, you wont be able to downgrade to install your "shit" as you call it.

Its either stay on 3.55 and risk the ban or update to 3.56 and play right in to Sony's hands, the choice my friend is yours!

Guys you're fine as long as you don't connect to PSN.
so going online can risk you being ban sadly

Yeah I know what you mean, it's probably a long shot but with the money I can save on getting PS3 games [especially this year]. I'll probably get enough for a PSN console too.

The reason I hoped it would work was because Sony managed to patch my console to not allow me to customise my DNS just by attempting to log on so I assumed by that that they would collect information even if it's just an attempted log in.

With the amount of consumer data misuse that has been reported on Sony's behalf I wouldn't be suprised No

just stay offline for a few months. For the next few months Sony will be VERY carefully monitoring everybody, to detect and ban any offenders they find. Over time, it will blow over and we should be free, if not, there will hopefully be some genius homebrew to hide / disguise the CFW from Sony!
