all you have to do is unplug the power cable in back when doing a system update. when its around about 15% and u wont be able to use it than send it in and u should hopefully get a new system.

If ths works I will quite happily pay you thank you so much but does this mean I have to wait for a new system update to come out?
i have yet to find a way to brick my ps3. anyways it's pretty much impossible to brick a 3.56 slim console. I've heard the older the easier it is to brick.
and yes i have tried
unplugging while updating
unplugging while formatting
unplugging while restoring
3.56 autobricker (think that was fake anyways)
install random cfw's and unplug while installing
anyways i think I've tried everything.

thanks man that would be cool.. but also like the last guy to post a towel around it will make it over heat.. but knowing sony they wont give u a new ps3 for overheating just new parts which u still will be banned... but try it but wrap it in a few towels 3 or more so nothing escapes and leave it on a game like GOW3 or a sony exclusive so it uses more power to run it... sony will give u back the disk when u send in ur ps3 so dont worry bout the disk also.
