Sony cannot make components in the PS3 break / fail, only ban you.
Technically they may be able to access and mess with the flash etc but this would open a whole can of worms for them.

What hacks have you performed?
If playing with asbestos and the flash make sure you havent deleted anything you shouldnt have done.

If everything is fine on that side it must be a hardware fault. Have a search on goole for a fix or a repair manual, dont send to Sony as they will screw you over once they realise what its been running...
