I was hoping to jailbreak the one on 3.40, so i could transfur data to the 3.56 ps3 (mw2 game saves other hacks ect.). So that brought me to this question. Should i simply jupdate through my usb to original 3.55 fw, then update through my usb to 3.55 CFW? Or could this cause problems because i skipped several firmwares to get to fw 3.55? Extra info: my ps3 on 3.40 is a backwards capatable fat.

Go to OFW 3.55 then to Kmeaw CFW 3.55 using the 3.4 PS3.

so jumping from 3.4 to 3.55 wont harm the ps3 in any way?

ok thanks! and while ive got ya here, i thought i would ask. On the ps3 when u click data transfer, it says both ps3's have to b on the latest firmware, is that neccesary or no?
