(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); This has been tested on a 60GB PS3 on 3.55 Team-Blizzard Custom Firmware, spoofed to 3.56. With COSad Awesome Black OPS FIRST STRIKE

I will show you how to game share, and keep your activations.

Firstly game share how you normally would and activate the content you want.

After you have activated the content, enable multiman (or your favorite backup/file manager) and go to:

/dev_hdd0/home/[USER WITH CONTENT]/exdata/act.dat

Copy this file to a pen drive or somewhere on the PS3.

Now deactivate the account via Account Management > Account Activation > Game > Deactivate.

If you play your game now the content will not be there (for black ops it wasn't there).

Now go back to multiman ( or your favorite backup/file manager) and copy the act.dat file back to:

/dev_hdd0/home/[USER WITH CONTENT]/exdata/

Start up your game and the content should be working, without wasting an activation!

Do not delete the user account on the ps3 with the sign in details as this will disable the content. But you can deactivate it!

Will test this further!

EDIT:
More detailed/easyer to read tutorial:

No it doesn't. You can't activate content with this method. So how can you download it?

This method doesn't help people who have 5 ppl using their account. It only simplifies deleting their account, which was possible before CFW

it seems thiswas a test, probably leading to something bigger, this is like a prototype. am i correct?

Jesus Christ i never said it did. If those people have 5 activations already then surely they can deactivate one account login, go to their friends CFW PS3, download a map pack from their PSN. Deactivate their account, apply the above, then they can reactivate their account back at home or whatever. Then 6 people can be using the map pack. Rather than deactivating the account then the content cannot be accessed.

Its only small little tiny bit of help so those few people who want to play online zombies or whatever with there mates with a new map pack can do so without using 1 of their 5 activations of their account.

And yes i will lead on to something else, but it will only be minor by the looks of things.

have you tried it on 6 ps3s? because once you put the old act file on again, the console is actually activated again.
