OK, so i have an idea to get homebrew apps running on a ps3 which does not have CFW on it.
I've been trying to keep up with the forums on this site, and have not seen this anywhere so if someone has posted it previously, i apologize upfront.
And if this a dumb idea feel free to shoot it down straight up.
So basically my idea is for someone who has CFW running along with a few homebrew apps, to create a backup of their PS3. If this backup was then restored onto another ps3, would the homebrew apps be restored as well in a functioning form?
I'd be happy to test a backup, if someone were able to put one online (obviously a backup made of a ps3 with nothing but any single homebrew installed onto it would be best due to restore times and download times). Or if there was someone who has tested or done something like this before any feedback would be cool, as this could have a lot of applications for people who dont want to run CFW.
From my selfish point of view i'm just wanting to get an FTP server running temporarily to make a few saves to get trophies, which i'd think there would be a few people hanging around these forums who'd like to do the same.
Thanks for any responses!!!
no homebrew apps will run on 3.56 as of yet
because the 3.56 pup contains revoke lists for programs
so all the known apps have been blocked from running on the new 3.56 update
if u update from 3.55 to 3.56 your apps will still be there but wont run u will get an error
