Post: Possible to redirect PS3 boot to Firmware on USB

to see if we can load multiple firmware versions 3.15, 3.41, 3.55 OFW or CFW from USB.....
Could we change the flash to look for the boot loader for the firmware from its normal place on the PS3 and instead redirect to another piece of code which would say get the contents of the firmware from this file/s via usb stick, preferably with a simple menu system.

Jaicrab made apps to have a custom firmware which you could mod and a ofw that loads from usb stick... This means you can mod the shit out of the CFW and you wont brick.
This also means you can have a 3.56 ofw on usb stick, and a 3.55 cfw on ps3.
