should i put CFW on my broke ps3 that cant play games?

one with ofw the new one
and a old one with ofw but im still able to change the firmware on it

my old ps3 cant play blueray discs anymore witch is why i got the new one

what i wanna know
*is there any point in putting cfw on my old ps3
*can i play backed up games on it from the net without a disk in the drive?
*what ells can i do with cfw on a ps3 without a blueray drive?

I guess if your put a disc onto a USB and install it into multiMan.

Depending on the game TBH 4 Gig to 8 Gig would be my fair guess. You can always just check on the back of the game box it tells you.

yeah buy an external 1TB HDD and install CFW Happy

ok whats the best cfw i know theres more than one ?
and i have a 500gig hard drive in fat32 format so i think im ok for that

Putting the CFW on an old PS3 would be smart, because you could have a hacking ps3, and a legit PS3. Shoulda though of that earlier
