Post: Bypassing mw2 patch? I'm on 3.60 with custom MW2 patch.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys
I updated my ps3 to 3.60 by accident, but thankfully I was smart enough to keep a backup of my PS3 harddrive. Now I'm on 3.60 firmware and have the modified patch_mp.ff on my ps3.

The only problem, is that when I try to go onto mw2 online, it asks me to update the mw2 software. Once I update, the patch is removed.

How can I bypass this?

Thanks

I think you have to have the CFW 3.55 to install Elite Mossy's patch blocker. Not for sure. You must login or register to view this content. You DO NOT need a jailbroken PS3 to install this. From what others have said, it DOES work on 1.12.

edit:

I remember a long time ago that I have to change my ps3 proxy server settings. Is that true? Do I set it to my ps3's internal IP? When I do that it just times out and says Internet Connection: Failed.

Dunno. You put the primary and secondary DNS as elite mossy's?

Well it doesn't really matter if you're smart enough to keep a backup of your ps3 harddrive! Then if sony decides to do that, you just backup your HDD and wala.

Although that would never happen..
