(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I recently accidentally updated to 3.60 while trying to brick i t i was waiting 60% to pull plug cause that's were all jbs fail to install but it went to 32% and jumped to 100% so i was extremely pissed but anyway if i buy a new motherboard that hasn't been updated to 3.55 can i put that in and update to 3.55? Firmware isn't entirely stored on the HDD so i thought i would try this.

No you can't do that, you can replace it but shit won't work properly.

It's not a computer how you can just go and change any parts and it'll work.

Sure, but why not just a new ps3. Because you can't swap bdvd drives because of device id certification. and your hdd gets formatted.

Only thing different about me is my ps3 was from the summer. And jail broken since October. But yeah I would try and get a new motherboard. If it oesnt work the your down the drain on 50 to 70 bucks lol.
