If you buy a ps3 and its on 3.56 or higher theres no way to downgrading to 3.55 so make sure the ps3 your going to buy is 3.55 or lower. If its lower you need to download the 3.55 ofw from somewhere

i got my 2nd ps3 a couple weeks ago off amazon.com and it was on 3.50

you can usualy tell because somewhere on the box states its current firmware
