The develper will distribute game fixes or ( Hotfixes ) to a game if theres a problem or bug with the game.

You can install game updates on 3.55 by downloading on computer and transfering via USB, than installing in "install package files".

Making "YOUR" own update patch will probably not work as there is many things to consdier.

Hope I helped Smile

You can use firmware spoofers to allow access to these games on 3.55 CFW, or modified EBOOT's and or .PKG files.

Are you sure, because I don't think a simle rebug spoof changes the decryption keys on the ps3.

Alright so let me teach you something, the gt5 game had all the version edits any thing could have. Yet we couldn't play it because the eboot was encrypted for 3.50 (at the time the only jb was on 3.41) and when we finally found encryption/decryption keys, we resigned it for 3.41. Then made cfw but still, the fact is that some games will come out that require 3.60 update or they will just black screen. Not even tell you to update. Not trying to be rude or any thing, but before you go calling me a kid, you need to get ALL your facts straight. But in no way am I trying to offend you, and you are a smart guy, just this must have got passed you.

With each game that requires a higher firmware the game must be patched to work on a lower firmware. Generally the EBOOT.BIN and the PARAM.SFO, however some need other things done to it as well. Homefront (3.56 game) needed another file modified.

So basically the answer is yes. Funny that it is easier to just download a prepatched pirated game rather than buy a game, back it up, a look around for the various files to replace/edit files.
