Post: Homebrew/backups without BD?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello,

Im about to buy a 3th ps3 online which can be Jailbroken since my sister updated my 2nd PS3 which was Jailbroken.

However to save money im buying one without a Blue Ray Drive.
I've seen some posts that you CAN'T run homebrew etc on a PS3 without a Blue Ray Drive.

Is this correct because I find it very unlogical? How does something which isn't on a Blue Ray Disc get difficulties running without a Blue Ray Drive?

I Hope someone can help me.

Greetings,

Ray

Nobody is like me
Some disc less ones, and even you can take the drive from one of your other PS3's and do the "re-marry" process and you can have the Jailbroken Ps3 with a BD drive. Smile

Yhh i read about your topic was it? well anyways having 2 ps3's with 3.60 wasnt a total disaster since my bro has one now to play online and so do I, so no more "fights" on who is allowed to play blahblahblah.

so re-marrying a BD drive isnt really a option. So what do you think is the best option? buying one without a BD drive and live with the fact that not all backups work or buying one with a working BD drive?

Also do new games(backups) which dont have that stupid "need 3.60 to play" thing need a BD Drive?
