i have a ps3 slim who was on 3.55 when i bought it

If this was true everyone would have downgraded by now..
newest firmware is stored on the Flash not the HD Smile

Sorry the firmware isnt stored on the HDD it's on a flash chip located on the motherboard. Sorry it won't work.
