I've recently sent an old ps3 to Sony for repair, and received a refurbished model which, amazingly enough, was running 3.55 firmware.

so i went ahead and installed the rebug firmware and started hacking some trophies.

at this point i realized that no timestamps were being generated at all, for any of the trophies that i unlocked.

my theory is that this is occurring because this refurbished model has technically never been online, but im in no way certain of this as im not an expert on the matter.

so just wondering if anyone has any idea how to get timestamps to start generating when a trophy pops.

It's most likely due to them being hacked trophies.

that's correct. I had the same issue when i got my 3.41 ps3. no timestamp were generating until ppl find a way to go online.

most are (via ftp), but even the ones which are 100% legit, like get one brutal melee kill in killzone 3 for example.

Ah, it's as the guy above you has said, it won't say anything unless you've been online.

so you havent found a way to get timestamps up?

i should add that this happens even on OFW, so i guess there isnt any way around this other then getting online.

how safe is it to go online on the dev servers just once on a different account?

Yes, i went online with 3.41 when it was available. but i can't remember if timestamp were added to the trophy i've unlocked which had no timestamp.

have the same issue now with my 355cfw, my time changed (summer time) but the timestamp are still sticking to the winter time. so i gues there is 2 clocks in the system.
the system clock which is only updated online and the display clock which is configured by the user.
