Download firmware, once it starts installing, pull the power cable..

then when i turn it back on. It says an update was cancelld we will reinstal it.

Take out the usb, try at other percentages.

your's actaully says update cancelled? lol it does the samefor me but tells me nothing at all i just turn it back on and it restarts the update process. i never get it tellnig me it was cancelled. does that always happen for you?

I've been wondering that myself Dv8.... If you want to brick it that badly just beat on it with a sledgehammer.

I think I read someone elses post about being able to downgrade it by "bricking" it. Causing it to need an Update PUP, but making the system not know what version its on. Or some crap like that.

Sounds like a load of bull to me and an easy, or not so easy for some apparently, way to get a nice shiny or matte paper weight the size of a drawing pad...

Just wondering now, Since 3.55 CFW supposably voids your warrenty. If you brick your ps3, and send it in to sony , will they send you a new / refurbrished ps3?

No look itz on 3.55 but every update i do it stops at 69% then it restarts but if i take my harddrive out and put it in to my computer and then put it into my ps3 it boots up but i want it to brick so i can install the rebug without it stoping at 69%

try throwing a brick at your ps3 jk try installing the worst cfw then pull the plug
